One Room Challenge – Week 3 | The Vintage Rug Shop

Week 3 is the week you expect to have made progress; expect to have something to show for all the time and planning that has passed. Week 3 is when you really compare your progress to others, and legitimately begin to freak out because so much is still up in the air!

There have been a few changes to the plan this last week. We are no longer installing hardwood floors in our space :(. We decided we aren’t ready to take on the cost of also installing new floors in the rest of the house, not to mention how crazy it would be if we had to play musical chairs with our bedrooms for the next few weeks all while trying to finish our One Room Challenge space.

This week I wanted to share with you the things that are FOR SURE happening in our master bedroom. First, we’re installing vertical paneling using Metrie Complete Pre-Painted Shiplap, and I’m so stoked about this! Vertical wall paneling is nothing new, but in the sea of horizontal shiplap, I am excited for a fresher look to this wall treatment. I’m even more excited to use this product, it’s basically ship-lap in a box, it’s essentially fool proof! We literally get cracking on installing the shiplap TODAY. I’m sweating bullets.

Second, this tufted bed! The Mine is an incredible sponsor of the One Room Challenge this round. The Mine is a fantastic source of stylish design minded home goods at attainable price points. It’s my new go-to site to search for interiors!

And third, the dresser! Now, fingers crossed I don’t jinx the heck out of this, but this dresser from Hayneedle is en route to my house and I also thrilled! It’s perfectly streamlined, and fits that tight tension in designing this room that I’m going for.
