My hoarding of all things gold and brass finally came in handy today. We’re usually the ‘eat at the kitchen island’ kind of family, and usually do holidays away from home. With us hosting Thanksgiving dinner tonight I wanted to break out some of my favorite pieces for the table, while still keeping things casual.
I kept the centerpiece simple with grocery store flowers – some seeded eucalyptus and a couple peonies (from Whole Foods). The chargers & brass wine glasses are from Target. The white plates are from Crate & Barrel outlet (the Aspen line), black plates from Ikea, buffalo check napkins which I sewed yesterday morning from leftover fabric from upholstering these chairs. The flatware I scored off One Kings Lane a few years ago but is readily available at many retailers. The finishing touch to this look are the napkin rings designed by Sarah Sherman Samuel, which I purchased from her shop last year and believe it or not is the first time I’m using them!
While we don’t all fit at this 4-seater table, I’ll be moving this look over to our super fancy folding table today (insert laugh-cry emoji here).
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Those napkin rings are so special! This turned out glam but not fussy- my favorite! (And we had dinner at a folding table too- so no judgment :))
As seen on HGTV Crafternoon, this sweet holiday table setting was inspired by vintage christmas decor.
