This past Friday was a very exciting day for all East Bay-ers. The first ever Anthropologie + Co opened up in Walnut Creek, just 10 minutes from my house! Walnut Creek is quickly becoming a shopping mecca, which makes me so happy because it’s seriously a pain in the butt going to SF – most non-SF residents avoid it as much as they can.
The store is huge! They converted an old Barns and Noble into a two-story shop showcasing our favorite Anthropologie home goods, furniture, decor, and even BHLDN! You walk right into Terrain, which sells earthy home goods, plants, basically anything garden.
There are a handful of full sized bedrooms and living rooms on the first floor. This is the first opportunity for Anthropologie customers to be able to see the full line of home goods in person.
I loved spotting some favorite local artists, from Clare Elsaesser to Meghan Shimek, and more that I need to get familiar with :)
Everything in this gigantic store is so beautiful, so well designed and displayed. It makes me wonder what the career path looks like to be on the Anthropologie display team!
This wall of mirrors, no joke, stopped each customer in his or her tracks.
Upstairs is a full shoe store, literally a dream if you’ve ever wished you could try on Anthropologie shoes before buying! Also, BHLDN! I’ve been to the shop in Chicago – it was a total dream, and it’s very exciting they’ve expanded to our neck of the woods, not that I’ll need it ever again, but exciting for future brides in this area to be able to access this!
Clothing covers the rest of the second floor, except there is this outdoor garden which faces the street where you can shop more outdoor Terrain products.
What do you think of Anthro expanding their stores? If you’re in the area, or planning a visit to the Bay Area, you have to come check it out! They’re opening another soon in Palo Alto which is exciting.
I’ve been so excited for the Anthropologie & Co opening and can’t wait to visit the next time I’m in town (I grew up in Walnut Creek but now live in Fresno)! Thank you for the sneak peak! I’ll miss that Barnes & Noble for sure (it was a high school hang out spot for us) but I can’t help but be excited about all the pretty things to look at in the new Anthropologie. Go East Bay! :)
Love Anthropologie and their home collection is getting better and better!
I’m excited! They’ve always seemed like such a lifestyle brand, so it only makes sense to have more offerings. Thanks for sharing!
Love the displays – Great to hear that they are expanding.
OMG…that headboard is so amazing!!
Very nice work!
Cheers,
Valerie

The wood flooring in this piece is STUNNING! Is it refurbished or is the stain just rustic?
