I’m please to report my son’s big boy (side) of the room is finished! In reality I only made a small handful of changes to his space, but you’d be surprised to hear how long I’ve been collecting some of the pieces before actually putting them all together.
I talked about the bed and the rug, and the light fixture of my dreams, and should mention I’ve been holding onto that vintage Pendleton blanket since Zano was 7 months old. Perhaps the most important piece of the space are the buffalo prints, and today I’m finally sharing the details of where they’re from and how I got them framed!
I found these two buffalo prints after hours of being lost in the black hole that is Society6. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love that site, but I am legitimately embarrassed at how many hours I’ve lost from searching for whatever it is I want to find. I kinda wish they would improve their search keyword function, but hey – I stumbled on these 3 incredible prints that I haven’t seen before so maybe that’s their strategy – to make you feel like you won the lottery.
I also fell in love with this lion print, something about the facial expression makes me think of courage, strength, independence – perfect for a little boy’s room.
So here’s another embarrassing thing – I’ve had these prints in hand since December last year. Since before Christmas 2015! My every intention was to get them framed quickly, but something about going to the framing store and talking to some sales rep and selecting from the hundreds of framing options had me paralyzed. I desperately needed an alternative framing option, so I turned to Framebridge!
Framebridge makes your life SO. EASY. They offer the option to upload your art, say it’s a photo you’ve taken or a downloadable art print you’ve purchased, or, if you’re like me and already have your print in hand, you can select the ‘mail in’ option. I selected the mail-in option, then selected my frames – Irvine Slim for both buffalo prints, and Bolton Mat for the Lion print. Framebridge sends a pre-posted mailing tube directly to your house, which you fill with your art pieces, then just plop back in the mail. Framebridge takes your art and gets it all ready for you to hang on your walls! It literally couldn’t be easier.Guess what?
