  • Gallery Wall Art Sources

Happy hump day friends! Have you seen this commercial? YOU MUST, it will blow your mind.  All I can say is, Geico’s marketing dept. is genius.

Well, as promised, let me share with you the sources of those incredibly talented artists behind our bedroom gallery wall!

All the art on our gallery wall was on purpose.  I wanted a gallery wall that reflected the quirky things I love: gold, bulldogs, vibrant colors, memorable trips, and of course black and white mixed in to ground and pull everything together.  The art pieces on the wall developed after I found my first piece of real art, the ballet dancer!  I found her at the Alemany Flea Market in SF for next to nothing.  And she’s real art, like real paint and brush strokes!  She became my muse for the rest of the gallery wall, so I harnessed her vibrant and moody blues and the pinks of her cheeks and began hunting for other items to adorn her beauty.

The first piece of art I sought out was the Luchador print, by the incredibly talented Michaela Nova, aka Silentist.  Michaela’s photography is vibrant, mysterious, and incredibly thought-provoking.

I know, right about now you’re asking yourself, “Wah? A Luchador print?” Well, I’m going to let you in on a secret, and trust you all wont quit me! I have this weird super cool obsession with Luchadores (Mexican wrestlers).  I can’t explain it.  I’m just totally drawn to the colorful masks, and of course the “art” of Mexican wrestling.  Well, while I was searching for Lucha art,  I stumbled on Michaela’s Etsy shop, and fell in love.  All her prints are incredibly reasonable, and if you’re looking for something vibrant and interesting, you should check her out.  Here are a few of my favorites in her shop:

For my next piece of art, I KNEW I wanted a Clare Elsaesser print.  Clare’s artwork rocks my world so hard, she has so many delicious and affordable art prints, it makes me want to cry that I can’t own them all!  And you know a girl’s got skillz when Emily Henderson is commissioning her work!

I framed the black & gold pony print, which Clare sent along with a post card, which I also framed!  It was 4×6″ and fit perfectly in a spare white frame I had lying around.  Here are a few of my other favorite prints of Clare’s, I seriously wish I could hoard them all.

I have a thing for bulldogs.  What? You didn’t know?

We have two bulldogs, an English and a French, and I love them to death!  It was imperative I incorporate bully art on our gallery wall, somehow… and I was almost prepared to DIY something myself LOL.  Lord knows my bully art would be turn out looking like chihuahua.

It was that moment when I stumbled on Sasha Waller.  Sasha to the rescue! Sasha’s Etsy shop is FULL of original bulldog prints, at such an affordable price point, there’s no reason not to buy one! And you know you want that print of a pile of bulldog pups, I’m melting from the cuteness!

Last, but certainly not least, is Corinne of CGalla Fine Art.  Corinne’s work is vibrant, stunning, and emotional.  Each piece tells a beautiful story, whether wild or subdued, but a very intriguing story.  Corinne uses many mediums in expressing her artwork, from oil, pastel, watercolor, or a mix!

I framed Corinne’s “hair day” giclee print (the first one below), and I it looks so good against my navy walls! These other 3 are just a handful of the beautiful prints Corinne has for sale.

Well, there you have it! These are all the art pieces I purchased for our gallery wall.  Up next, I’ll show you what pieces we DIY’ed, and how you can too!

    1. Love them all. My daughter is obsessed with Nacho Libre (and Jack Black) started when she was 4 years old. She’d love the Mexican wrestling mask photo… Oh lord this sounds strange! Should I be worried? ;)
