Happy Tuesday friends! I’m happy to say I’M BACK HOME! Last night was the best night’s sleep I’ve had in the last 3 weeks. There’s seriously nothing like the comfort of your very own bed. I’m also happy to be able to share with you some projects that I finished before the wedding, AND a peek at into our wedding including, some wedding themed decor tutorials. I have a lot to share!
But before we get too ahead of ourselves, let’s hand the spotlight over to the ever fab Bethany of Dwellings by Devore! Bethany’s work is truly inspiring. I guarantee everyone’s pinned one project or another from Bethany! Her amazing work is splashed all over Pinterest.
I’m a lover of all things thrifty and DIY. I also love to cook, sew, and do other crafty things. I have a great husband and a full of energy little girl who keeps me busy most days. I squeeze in projects as much as I can and share them on my blog along with other inspiration that I come across. I love a good deal and find it hard to pass up treasures others may kick to the curb.
There are so many things I love about summer time, but one of my favorite traditions is visiting our local farmer’s market. There’s just something fun about supporting local people and fresh produce is always so much better. Of course the food truck and fresh baked goods don’t hurt either.
At first I wasn’t so sure about all the neon, but I’m loving it this summer paired with neutrals. I think it looks particularly great in small doses, like piping on a pillow or on a dipped terra cotta pot. It’s fun to see it in children’s spaces and on outdoor patios too. I’m sure it’s not something I’ll love forever, but I think it’s fun for summer.
I’m really proud of how my nail-head dining room table turned out. It’s one of those projects that I worked really hard on and wasn’t sure if it was going to turn out. I actually started out with a totally different vision and had to rework things when it didn’t go according to plan. Now I love the end result so much more than what I had originally planned. Check it out here.
I would have to say that I couldn’t live without trays. They are so versatile and are great for gathering smaller objects to create a vignette. They can be used in pretty much any room. In fact, I think I have one in almost every room of my home. They’re also easy to DIY and inexpensive to buy, you can’t go wrong. This DIY lucite tray is one of my favorites.
I think it would be fun to meet Emily Henderson and spend the day thrifting with her. She finds so many great things and I’m a big fan of her style.
Hmm…I don’t know if it’s a pet peeve, but I would have to say I’m not a huge fan of the overly matched look. I love for things to coordinate and I’m a sucker for symmetry, but I prefer for things to look like they were collected over time. I’d rather purchase a few new items and mix them with thrifted finds and DIY projects.

Wow! How funny is it that all these talented ladies nearly have the same home decor pet peeve in common – matchy-matchy furniture and poorly hung drapes or curtains. I have to say they’re both on my decor pet peeve list too!
I hope this series was enjoyable! I certainly enjoyed learning a little more about each of these bloggers, I feel so lucky to be cultivating a friendship with such a fantastic group of bloggers!
I remember finding Bethany’s spaces years ago, pre-blogging times on “Rate my Space” and I have loved her creativity ever since. It truly was a fun blogging series, Brittany! And thanks again!
