    banner-INTRO

One more week of honeymoon… it’s going to fly by so fast! *Le sigh* I wish I could press pause for a few more moments.  My husband and I have been randomly saying to each other “oh man, going back to work is going to suck be so hard”.  We still have more planned, we’re even driving to Venice as we speak!

Good news is I’ve still got a week’s worth of ladies to introduce you to.  Today let me introduce you to Shavonda of A Home Full of Color! Shavonda-intro TELL-US

Hi Everyone!!  Thank you so much Brittany for letting me crash your blog for the day!

My name is Shavonda and I am the blogger/author of A Home Full Of ColorAHFOC is all about how my wife and I are slowly turning our builder grade house into a home we both can live with.  Its not an easy feat since we are exact opposites when it comes to decorating.  She’s modern and pretty minimalist, while im uber eclectic and have an affinity for vintage furniture! The only thing we agree on is we want both a home infused with color.

    Favorite-Summer-Tradition
Camping! Usually there’s a really large group of us, including friends, family, and their families.  We have a blast.  My kids look forward to it every year.

    Color-Crush

I’m completely obsessed with mint! I like it paired with pretty much anything. I recently used it on the back of a set of bookcases.

    Show-the-world
Without a doubt it would be our kitchen makeover.  I love the way it came out.  It was our first major project and we did it all on a very tight bidget.  It feels like a completely different space.

    Throw blankets!!

I have them everywhere. I love to toss them on chairs, couches, beds, even the floor! They are the easiest way to add a pop of color to any space. Plus I get cold super fast so its great to always have one nearby to throw on.

    BLOGGER

Wow! No way I can pick just one.  There are so many super talented folks out there I want to meet and all for different reasons.

    Pet-Peeve

Rooms with a complete matching furniture suite, rooms that look like they were torn out of the pages of a Pottery Barn catalogue, and art hung too high on the walls.  Please, my friends, just don’t do it!

    ******************************************

Thank you Shavonda! I have to agree about your pet peeve, art or photos hung in the wrong position can throw any good room off in a bad way.  If you haven’t checked out Shavonda’s Blog, do so now, her photography and projects are so inspiring! She really does well with color, something I’m so afraid to embrace sometimes!

    1. Venice! How awesome! Sounds like you guys are really having the trip of a lifetime.
Love Shavonda! I have followed her for a while now and I liked her the minute I cyber-stepped on her blog. She is so fun and sweet and let’s not forget talented and funny!
I so agree on the matching furniture sets. Hate that!

    2. Thanks for the feature Brittany!!! Julia I adore you too. It’s been so great getting to know so many bloggers better through this series. Have I mentioned how jealous I am of that honeymoon of yours?! We miss you;)
