We’re leaving for Nice/Cannes today, so excited to work on those tan lines! I’m also renting a car…. err… so wish me luck that they actually give us the automatic we ordered.. It’ll be an interesting week learning how to drive a manual transmission on the banks of the French Riviera!
On a more exciting note, let me introduce you to the incredibly talented Kristin from Bliss At Home as today’s VIP guest blogger!
Hi, I’m Kristin from Bliss at Home and it’s so fun to be here at one of my favorite blogs today! I’m so excited for Brittany to celebrate her love and start a brand new chapter in her life as Mrs. BrittanyMakes
Just a little background on me and my little blog. I’m a 30-something living in the heart of the Midwest. I am married to Dave aka the most patient man on earth —as all DIY/design blogger husbands have to be. He is my partner in DIY adventures. We have two wonderful boys, Bryce and Sam.
Bliss at Home chronicles our home takeover. We bought the house I grew up in (a 1950’s ranch) and have been making it ours room by room and on a tiny budget. I have a background in art and design, and it is a true passion for me. I love bold. I love graphic and geometric prints, black + white, animal skin, gold, and traditional foundations. So, you can see why I love Brittany’s blog so much! I share DIY projects, tutorials, interior inspiration, holiday ideas, design trends, and a little bit of everything else.
Just a warning: I am a super goofball. Cheesy like cheddar. There it is, you know what to expect. (This is why we love you, Kristin!)
Not doing all the laundry. Ummmm…just kidding. No, but really…it has to be vacation. Our youngest son is now old enough where traveling isn’t such a burden. I love to go new places and revisit favorite places.
Pink + orange. I am infatuated with it. I love the combo for outdoor spaces and bedrooms. This Erin Gates image says it all.
That has to be the library wall. I have always wanted a library in our home and this is heaven to me. It’s amazing what you can do with some IKEA shelving! You can get all the deets here: IKEA BILLY Bookcase Library Wall
My Keurig. Hi, my name is Kristin and I am a coffee addict. Not really design related, but if there was a fire I would get the family out and grab my Keurig.
Oh my! There are so many! How can I answer?? Definitely Brittany, of course! Seriously, I know too many fab bloggers and I hope we all get to meet!
Oh, there are a lot! One major one would be improper scale. I see a lot of art that isn’t the right size in rooms. This could be the wrong art over a sofa or a bad gallery wall. I see this way too often! Art should enhance a space and be a focal point.
I just want to thank Brittany for having me blog crash today! This was good fun. I cannot wait to see all the wedding shenanigans!!!
Dudes & dudettes, Kristin is amazing! She’s so fun and animated and outgoing, I love reading her posts and I’ve had a blast getting to know her these last few months. I hope you enjoy her as much as I do, check out her project gallery, and that stenciled wall! Amazing!
Hope you have an amazing time at the French Riviera! I used to travel there when I was younger and loved it! Perfect honeymoon material! (Lol I say dudes and dudettes all the time!) Love Kristin and fabulous blog, that library wall is killer!!!
Thanks for having me Brittany! So fun! Your honeymoon sounds amazing and I can’t wait to see all the photos :) xo Kristin
