I just got married, and what a day it was! I’m relaxing right now, wandering the streets of London, hoping to have a royalty sighting :P If you’re up to speed on Monday and Tuesday’s posts, I decided that while I’m honeymooning to reach out some incredibly talented bloggers and asked their hand in helping me escape the real world for 2 weeks by answering a few fun questions, and letting me share their answers here on the blog. We’ve got 10 beautiful ladies lined up for your reading pleasure.
Let me introduce you to the incredibly talented Jessee from Scout & Nimble!
I’ve been silently stalking Jesse’s blog well before I started brittanyMakes. I was so in tune with her style back then, that it only feels natural for us to be blog buds now! Let’s see what Jesse has to share with us…
My favorite summer tradition by far is going to my parent’s cabin on the river. As a family girl and homebody at heart, it is my idea of true perfection. In the middle of nowhere and surrounded by beauty, it is the kind of place that as soon as you step foot in the door, your worries and stresses simply fade away. The cabin is a place I can unplug, relax and get centered. Plus, the kids have a ball.
I have been having this love affair with blue for the past couple of years, but this summer I have been drawn to the corals & pinks.
I recently added these pillows to our daybed in my office and am finding that I am more and more drawn to this color palette whether done boldly or soft and feminine.

I would have to say my wedding song art would be highest on the list. Marriage is such a commitment and what could be more meaningful than to have the score of the first song you and your significant other danced to as a married couple. Our print is in the main part of our home right next to our kitchen table and I love that it is a subtle reminder of our commitment to each other, our vows and all the foundations that make up our marriage. It never fails that I will be frustrated with my husband or in the middle of an argument and I will look at that huge piece of art and quickly soften…it reminds me of what is so important and what is not. Quickest way to end an argument for either of us is to look at that print.
Again, a really hard one. I have so many favorites! However, I would love love love to meet Ree Drummond…miss Pioneer Woman herself and when I say “meet” what I really mean is go to her ranch and cook with her and when I say “cook with her” what I really mean is to watch her cook, chat her up and eat her food. ;) Is there anything that woman cannot do??? Let me answer that for you…no there isn’t. She is like a superhero.
Hmmmm…that is a hard one because I really believe you have to do what makes you happy and surround yourself with things you love regardless of what someone else would pick or do. That being said, no matter what style, pattern or color of curtains you buy, make sure you hang them the right height off the floor. Puddle them…have them kiss the flooring, but do not have them sit too high off the floor. Most people do not want their pants to look like highwaters…don’t do it to your curtains. Mmmm’kay?
Oh that cabin, how wonderful!
And Jesse is one sweet and talented blogger!
Jesse, you are too sweet! Love your heart and your style :) xo K
