  • Framed Paper Wall Art

Happy Wednesday everybody! I’m in a great mood today, not that it’s out of the norm, but I’m especially happy because tomorrow is my Friday.  I’m off to San Diego this weekend to run a half marathon.  I know, call me crazy for running 13 miles just for fun, but it was a New Years resolution to run a race before my wedding and I’m off to get ‘er done!

A while ago I complained about our bare wall dilemma, and not knowing what art or pictures or decorations I wanted to fill the void.  A couple weeks ago I decided I wanted to put up a couple Ikea Lack shelves, but my wall is either completely stud-less, or I need a more reliable stud finder, because I couldn’t get the shelves to stay secure for the life of me.  I wish I could ask my man to help… but he has soft office hands…

After all the anguish of trying to hang the Lack shelves, I gave up and opted for something else I could quickly put up on our wall (something to hid the dozen holes I just made).

Coincidentally I had some patterned paper from Paper Source that I bought a week earlier.  It was a random but justified purchase at the time. I knew I’d think up a good project to put these beautiful sheets of paper to use.  It was also a coincidence that I had 3 large brushed silver Ribba frames, you know, just lying around.  This is what happens when you’re a spontaneous DIYer – you hoard things until you find their true purpose!

The frames make an impact, albeit small, but I’m satisfied for the time being.  I still plan to get those lack shelves on my walls, one way or another, it’s gonna happen.

    DON’T FORGET!

The Curio Road giveaway ends tomorrow at midnight.  You could win a $50 gift card! They’ve also launched a couple new featured artists – you MUST check out the selection from Rust Designs.  These are my favorites from the shops that just launched:
