It's official ladies, Spring is here! I've been wishing for Spring to arrive since the new year. Winter cramp's my running schedule, big time. Also, it's zero fun leaving the office when it's dark outside. Don't you feel less motivated in the winter? I mean, I step out of the office and feel like it's bedtime. So, cheers to daylight savings, warmer weather (hopefully), and more sunlight in our day!
Has anyone done anything noticeable to welcome the new season? I mean, nothing huge, but something noticeable? Please, share! I, for instance, bought a pair of coral jeans yesterday. I had been eying them for about a month, convincing myself they're too bright and silly… but then I saw a picture of Kate Middleton sporting coral jeans and she is so freakin' gorgeous that I ran over during lunch and bought myself a pair. Do I look like Kate Middleton? No. Will I rock them as perfect as she does? Definitely not. But that won't stop me from pretending! Plus they were $25 and fit me, like, perfectly.
Let me ask you something, what do you think pairs well with Spring? For me, it's big, bold, vibrant statement necklaces! I've had a coral + mint palette clouding my thoughts lately, so last night I decided to make a minty statement necklace to add to my jewelry collection…
I paired smokey quartz stones, silver chain, and the round mint stones I recently found at a local gem faire to create this necklace. Each stone is separated by mini silver spacer beads, threaded on Softflex, and attached to the chain with jump rings and crimp beads. It's so fun to whip up a piece of jewelry when inspiration calls!
