I'm somewhat impartial to Valentine's Day. I could take it or leave it. Although, I used to loooove this day as a kid, I would spend at least 30 minutes at the supermarket picking out the best box of valentines, then even more time selecting the best candy (Reece's, Heath bar, you know it!). Then, I would write cute notes in each card and deliver them first thing when I got to school. I kinda miss that creative prep to Valentine's Day…
Anyway, we "grown-ups" have to celebrate the day at an all new level. Expensive restaurants, jewelry, boxes of chocolates, $100 bouquet of roses, $$$. My boyfriend and I are a little more practical, especially this year since we're diligently saving money to move into our own place. We plan to chill at home, grill up some rib-eye steaks and veggies, and share a delicious bottle of vino. You know, keep it simple.
I've been learning and teaching myself the ways of Photoshop, and it's inspired me to start creating some big-kid valentines. I've seen soooo many adorable handmade letter press cards on Etsy and Pinterest. I've seen a few bloggers offer a free downloads and it got me thinking I could try it too! More to come on that front, I still need to transition my grand ideas onto that digital canvas…
In the mean time, let's admire these talented ladies!!!
