Hey peeps! I spent the last few days in fabulous Las Vegas, celebrating birthdays and anniversaries with my BF and his family. I had a blast! This was only my second visit to Vegas, and before this weekend I hadn't seen much of the strip so I made it a goal this time to visit other casinos and hotels.
We stayed at the Mirage, which is a tropical themed casino and hotel. I actually really like the Mirage, it's not too big where you'd get lost, like Caesars Palace.
(all photos were taken with the new iPhone 4s)
And it's located directly across from the Venetian, our favorite hotel.
If you're not familiar, the Venetian is Venice themed, ceilings covered in gorgeous Italian paintings and gold trim
We love the Venetian. My BF's dad was born and raised in Venice, and the hotel provides a remarkably true taste of all things Venice. Like the canals and gondolas…
The Italian architecture, street lamps, and window treatments. I absolutely adore the simulated sky painted and illuminated on the ceiling of the hotel. Regardless of the time of day or weather outside, it's a beautiful day in Venice.
During our trek up and down the strip, I tried to capture the grandeur that is Las Vegas… the sky scraper hotels and casinos
The water show at the Bellagio
The famous MGM lion
Paris and the Eiffel Tower
New York and the Statue of Liberty at New York-New York
Inside the New York-New York hotel and casino, you'll find city streets, pubs, apartment buildings…
and even a gourmet meat counter
Vegas is amazing. It's crazy, but amazing. If you can get past the drunken stupors, the intense cigar and cigarette smoke, and obsessed gamblers, Vegas is mind blowing. Where else can you get a scoop of authentic gelato to go along with your convincing New York hot-dog or strip steak?
Lastly, can you believe I took all these photos with the new iPhone 4s? I'm quite impressed, to say the least.
