Hello! I hope you're all having a wonderful weekend. I am off soaking up the sun on Lake Shasta, reading a book or taking a plain old awesome nap, hopefully resembling this little guy here:
For those of you who may not know, (and I blame my best friend Allison for getting me hooked), I'm a proclaimed Pinterest addict.
Wait, what? "What is Pinterest" you ask? Hold on, hold on – I have to pick myself up off the floor.
Imagine a website where you can instantly catalogue pictures, recipes, inspirational quotes, fashionable outfits, places to visit, literally any "thing" on the internet you find interesting, Pinterest is IT. You can use Pinterest to organize your wedding, plan a vacation, decorate your house, all by simply 'pinning' the images to your 'pinboards' that you find stylish, interesting or inspiring. The best part about it is you can follow other pinterest members, see what inspires them, what recipes they like, and perhaps you will gain more inspiration, acquire new tastes, and re-pin. It's seriously so easy and fun. Pinterest's goal is to connect the world through the "things" we enjoy and find interesting and inspiring. I am no spokes person for Pinterest, I am simply a lover and an advocate.
I've been spending the last couple nights browsing through Pinterest. More so than usual I should add. I usually browse while the BF and I watch a manly movie like Unknown or Rocky Balboa. I love to search for inspiring DIY projects, or photos of bulldogs :P The movie ended and I was about to log off for the night when I noticed a little bitty note on the top left of my screen… "Live in the SF Bay Area?" and a little pic of California with another note "Pinterest Meet-up in the Bay!" What did I do? I clicked over, duh. And it's exactly what you think it is, Pinterest is hosting a SF Bay Area meet-up at the West Elm Bay Street Emeryville. Awesome! What's even more perfect? My office is 2 blocks from that West Elm!
It's going to be a support group for sure, "Hi, my name is Brittany, and I am a Pinterest-aholic." West Elm is absolutely the perfect place for Pinterest fans to gather. Instead of a sponsor and a 10-step program, we Pinterest addicts get a 10% discount! I seriously need to calm down, it's only 10%, but it makes me feel so special! My OCD has gone into overdrive, 'what am I going to buy?' Or more importantly, 'what am I going to wear?!'
Well, I'll work on the outfit part… I'm desperately searching for a mustard cardigan, for less than $30… wish me luck with that one.
What should I buy?!
You know what? Problem solved – I need this paper Papier-Mâché wildebeast.
I don't want this post to be too boring. Here are some other items that caught my eye, these fab horse head book ends
Oh my, this duvet! my heart beats faster for anything dressed in yellow.
That duvet, plus these sheets
What about this Iznik bathmat? I love a little Greek inspiration
Ooooh, or this one!
I've always longed to own West Elm's mercury glass collection, but never took the opportunity to invest… 10% will help, me thinks!
Or these hive vases, in yellow of course
This candelabra is pretty sweet, it would work well as my table centerpiece
butter + yellow + owls = perfect butter storage
They actually look more like mustaches in this photo, which would be so funny
My search for the perfect olive oil and vinegar jug has ended! I was worried I'd have to take a special trip to Italy to find the perfect jug, West Elm to the rescue!
OK, i think it's a tie between the wildabeast, the striped sheets, the trellis rug, or these old jugs
Decisions decisions! I wonder what the BF would say if I came home with a wildabeast head… he has to love it right? I mean, we can name him together. I'm thinking Henri, or Stephen… hehe.
Be back soon!
A wildabeast? Lol! Love this! xox
We don’t have a West Elm down here. I really wish we did! They have so much that I could buy right now!
